Setting Up Animal Weighing Function (Automatic Locking Function) on PS-IN202 / PS-IN202SS

If the weighing object is not stable (e.g. an active animal), you can use the animal weighing function to lock down the weight readout within a pre-set range. Here's how to do:

  1. Open the calibration plate on the back of the indicator.  It is approx. 1"x1" plate with a screw on each corner.
  2. When the indicator is turned off, flip the toggle switch underneath the calibration plate.
  3. Turn on the indicator and it will show "P1".
  4. Press the "Print" button 17 times so the screen will show "P18".
  5. Press the "Zero" button.  The screen show "xx d". The "xx" stands for an actual value (number) before the "d". "d" means division.  If your scale is 700x0.1lb, the division is 0.1lb.  The "xx" value means the range of the divisions.  (If it is "10", it means the range is 10x0.1lb=1lb. So if the fluctuation on the screen is within 1lb, the screen will lock its readout. )  So the more active the object is, the larger "xx" number you need to set up.
  6. Press the "Print" button to increase the "xx" value or the "Tare" button to decrease the "xx" value.
  7. Flip the calibration toggle switch and the indicator will come back to the weighing mode.
  8. Test the scale and adjust the "xx" value to make it work for you.

This function can also be used for weighing liquid.
